Gastroscopy (OGD) & Upper Endoscopy

Direct examination of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum

Gastroscopy (OGD) uses a flexible camera to examine the oesophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine, with biopsies taken in the same sitting when needed.

Duration: 10-20 minutes for the examination; plan for 2-3 hours at the clinic in total
Anaesthesia & Comfort: Throat spray, with or without intravenous sedation, agreed with you before the procedure

Colonoscopy

Examination of the entire large bowel for diagnosis, screening and polyp removal

Colonoscopy in Nairobi: examination of the whole colon and rectum to investigate symptoms, screen for bowel cancer and remove polyps during the same procedure.

Duration: 30-60 minutes for the examination; plan for 3-4 hours at the clinic including recovery
